[IDEAS] Social Portal

The concept behind this idea is to enable users to build their own social portal by choosing the different modules available. Besides that, users can also apply different filters to personalize the updates they receive.

Example:

Youtube

Users can personalize to receive Youtube video updates based on title, kind of video, uploader's username, etc.

Last.fm

Users can personalize to receive updates based on music genre or keywords in the song title.

Facebook

Users can personalize to receive only certain notifications such as Birthday update, comments, replies and so on.

Twitter

Receive twitter messages.

New modules can be developed to increase the amount of services available to users, such as Email modules, calendar, instant messaging, flickr updates, etc.

[IDEAS] Improved Iphone Springboard

After using the iphone for a couple of times, I noticed that the Iphone springboard design is not that efficient especially when you have a large number or applications on your Iphone.

Currently, you could have multiple springboards and you would have to swipe through each and every of them to search for an application. What I am suggesting is to have the springboards categorized to 4 user definable categories and the applications can be placed accordingly. Refer to figure below.

By categorizing the springboard, we could reduce the number of boards one has to flick through when searching for a specific application.
